Andhra Pradesh – New Knowledge Power House

Andhra Pradesh is set to become the new knowledge power house.  In fact the Bifurcation of the state of Andhra Pradesh has been a boon for education in the region. The state was divided in a most UN-democratic way. The residual state of Andhra Pradesh has been left with literally no money to pay even for the staff salaries. However, there were some promises made on developing the state and one of them is to sanction some high end Education institutions like IIM, IIT, NIT, IISER, AIIMS etc. The government is planning to diversify these in to different regions and according to the development plan of the state in different regions. Most of the development is concentrated in the Telangana region, which is already developed. Now with the sanction of these top end institutions, the balance will shift to Andhra Pradesh. Since these are really not so long term projects, we can see the output of these institutions very shortly and may be as early as 2018-19.
The crucial part of this is the locating these institutions. A well thought out plan is in place and developing the regions based on these.
Kakinada – Vizag region is being planned to be developed as Petrochemical hub and IT & Knowledge based industries. This region gets the institutions of
Indian Institute of Management (IIM)
Tribal University
Petrolium University
Thirupathi- Chittor region will be hosting the institutions such as which are very important for the development of Manufactuting Industries
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER)
Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) and
Indian Institute of Information Technology Chittoor (IIIT)
Vijayawada – Guntur Region will get institutions like
Agriculture university,
National Institute of Disaster Management
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)
These institutions will start providing the  Nation with its talent latest by 2018-19. This will go a long way in development of state.
