Coconut Dosa

Ingradients:
Boiled rice – 2 cups
Fresh scrapped coconut-1cup
Salt to taste
Soda powder- a pinch
Method:

  • Soak the rice for 5 hours and grind it to smooth batter along with coconut.
  • Allow the batter to ferment hole night
  • Next day add salt and soda powder to the batter .
  • Pour the dosa on tawa roaste single side and serve hot.

Toppings and variety of combinations for dosa’s.

  • Smear coconut chutney and keep some   potato curry and pour a tea spoon of ghee  over the dosa.
  • Smear coconut chutney and keep little potato curry  inside the dosa and fold and serve hot  .
  • Sprinkle only Karam podi made of roasted gram and pour little oil and ghee and serve hot.
  • Smear red chilli chutney and little coconut chutney  fold the dosa and smear ghee over the dosa and serve hot.
  • Use onion chutney and coconut chutney pour ghee over it and serve hot.
  • Sprinkle karam podi  to the chutney dosa  , pour  a tea spoon of ghee over it and tastes good  serve hot.
  • All these toppings are suitable to the plain dosa and masala dosa batter .
  • In the masala dosa batter when you do topping with chutney  keep some Upma as stuff fold the dosa and serve immediately ,this is famous upma dosa Andra special.
  • Smear only  onion  chutney pour ghee and serve hot.
